The Komptech Mustang Trommel Screen is available in several different models. The one pictured below appears to be one of the older models (possibly from around 2004) when comparing it to some of the others, like the Mustang E. I'm not sure if this older example has this feature, but the newer models can be run on either Diesel fuel or Electricity. They also have a manual option. These three options give the user extreme versatility, and the ability to save a considerable amount of money. The big green machine!
Like the Doppstadt SM-620 Profi Trommel, the Komptech Mustang is also equipped with a trailer arm so it can be moved from one location to another with minimal fuss. And that's not where the similarity's end. They are both very versatile and do a similar job in terms of screening on many different types of sites, like landfill / recycling. They also share many of the same features.
Both are excellent screeners and have great reputations throughout the industry. Very reliable and able to process a lot of raw materials in quite a short period of time. Whilst not as popular in the UK as the Doppstadt Trommel's, you can still find Mustangs + parts like rotary drums for sale used online on websites like machinio.com. Of course, they are always available to buy brand new direct from komptech.com. Another alternative would be to hire one.
